Writing assignment 2

In this photo i see a young women, she is wearing a rather thin almost transparent dress as she wades through the water. It looks as though she is trying to get to someone or something and you can see the effort she is putting in by the movement of her arms.

For some reason this photo reminded me of Jeff Buckley's death. I remember reading of his death a while after it happened and feeling sadness for the loss of what i considered to be a great lyricist. This photo describes almost to a tee the prelude to Buckley's death and therefore makes me feel sad and appreciation for his music. This also going along with Buckley reminds me of his song 'hallelujah'.

'On the evening of May 29, 1997, Buckley's band arrived by plane with the intent to join him in his Memphis studio to work on the newly written material. That same evening, Buckley went swimming in Wolf River Harbor,^[92] a tributary of the Mississippi River, while wearing boots, all of his clothing, and singing the chorus of the song "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin.^[93] A roadie of Buckley's band, Keith Foti, remained ashore. After moving the radio and a guitar out of reach of the wake from a passing tugboat, Foti looked up to see that Buckley was gone.
